Steps involved when applying for a position of employment

When applying for a job, there are two things that need to be prepared. One is an application letter and the other is your resume.





Application letters:

An application letter should be short and concise. It should tell your employer that you can do the job well, and that you'll fit in and contribute to the business. It should be more directed at the employer than in a resume, so if you are applying for multiple jobs, it would be a good idea to customize and personalize each application letter. Contact details should be included. The application letter should be no more than one page long.

 

Tips:

1. Do not give your employers too much. Most are very busy and will not read long application letters and/or resumes, so keep them short and concise.

2. Present neatly but professionally.

3. Type everything, unless told otherwise.
